Becoming a Wino

Here is just part of the stash that I bought at the Slough Creek Vineyard on Saturday. I am not a wine drinker, and I liked their whites (and of course their pyment [a word I knew and could discuss with the guy a little because of you, Spike]). This could be either a recommendation or a condemnation, depending on your point of view. :) Their mead was OK (I have been forever spoiled on mead). He let us taste some of their young stuff (he was testing it while we were there). It tasted . . . young. ;-)

But, this was a photo project so, I started taking pictures through the pretty bottles:
But Lex wouldn't leave me alone:

So it became about her . . . which, of course, she hated. :)

hee hee! You should try my new stuff: A Day at the Fair Mead.
It's got a tang of apples, the warm flavor of toasted pecans, and a dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon. And it's way yummy at 7 weeks, if I do say so myself! I am about ready to throw it on some smoked oak chips to put in just a hint of smoke. It's a taste picture of the fall harvest art festivals that are going on. And it's about 16% (32 proof) Come and get it!

Awwww...I see kitty eyes! That is so cute.
God, what I wouldn't give for some real SCA mead. We bought some at a liquor store here, nasty, horrible stuff.
You have quite a wine-horde there young lady...and it looks yummy :)
