Jenn's Woods

This is one of those things that is hard to explain. It's not a fabulous piece of art, but it's worth a lot to me. An old friend and I had an ongoing "argument." He grew up near Fontenelle Forest, and I grew up in a place where we'd go down into the woods... It became a metaphor for us in several discussions--"The forest and the woods just can't come together." He made this for me, and it includes quite a concession on his part: It's titled, "Jenn's Woods." It makes me smile whenever I see it. :)

Worst Use of a Masterpiece

I'm not sure what it is about Crown Tourney. I took this one early in the morning while I waited for my ride, fully expecting to have a better one by nightfall. But... even though there were cameras and video cameras all around me all day long, I didn't even consider taking a photo. *sigh*

I looked over at lunch today and was happily surprised to see my coworker reading a book that a friend wrote. If you don't know Carrie Vaughn's work, you should. :)
