There are three clumps just like this down the side of my house. OK, gardener-types, what should I do? Leave the mulchiness to keep them warmer for now, right?
And this is the bullseye pothole from the parking lot. Water has such amazing properties... :o)

it would be good to clean them out now:) it will be much harder later when they get large, if you are worried about frost damage, cover them at night with a plastic bag (loosly so they can breath, dont strangle the poor things;) ).

Thordr is right. You should clean them up. Those are premature dafidils (sp). They will be yellow in March.
